Greetings,
I'm looking for some advice on how I can tackle some files that I have that have mixed length item barcode numbers in them. There are three types of barcodes:
T 8232
T 19936
30590000090534
What I need to be able to do is prepend 3059 and a sufficient amount of zeroes to the first two types of barcodes to make them look like a 14 character string. So the result for the first two types would become:
30590000T 8232
3059000T 19936
The barcodes are all contained in field 952, subfield p.
Does anyone have ideas on how I can accomplish this with some process -- maybe a regex or a macro?
Thanks,
Nora
