Ian,
I wanted to wait until after the migration to confirm that the system would automatically change the address of your list in the outgoing message to new subscribers. It does. I subscribed to your list and received the proper information.

Subject: For Mike O'Neill RE: LISTSERV migration
Hello Mike (c: MARCEDIT-L listowners),
In response to a message I sent to all MARCEDIT-L users, a subscriber raised the question of sending commands to the lists. His inquiry prompted me to unsubscribe and resubscribe from a secondary address I use, so that I would see that new subscribers are told in the automatically generated message below..
Everywhere that you would expect to see @LISTSERV.GMU.EDU, the address given is @METIS3.GMU.EDU.
I'm writing now to respectfully request that updating of this document will be a part of your planned migration to a new server.

Subject: You have been added to the MARCEDIT-L list

You have been added to the MARCEDIT-L mailing list (MarcEdit support in
technical and instructional matters) by "Ian Fairclough @ GMU"
<[log in to unmask]>.
Please save this message for future reference, especially if this is the first time you are subscribing to an electronic mailing list. If you ever need to leave the list, then you will find the necessary instructions below. Perhaps more importantly, saving a copy of this message (and of all future subscription notices from other mailing lists) in a special mail folder will give you instant access to the list of mailing lists to which you are subscribed. This may prove useful the next time you go on vacation and need to leave the lists temporarily to avoid filling up your mailbox while you are away. You should also save the welcome messages from the list owners that you may receive after subscribing to a new list.
To send a message to all of the people currently subscribed to the list, just send mail to [log in to unmask], which is called the list address. You must never try to send any command to that address, as it would be distributed to all the people who have subscribed. All commands must be sent to [log in to unmask], which is the LISTSERV address.
It is important to understand the difference between the two.
You may leave the list at any time by sending a "SIGNOFF MARCEDIT-L"
command to [log in to unmask] You can also tell LISTSERV how you want it to confirm the receipt of messages you send to the list. To send yourself a copy of your own messages, send a "SET MARCEDIT-L REPRO"
command. Alternatively, to have LISTSERV send you a short acknowledgement instead of the entire message, send a "SET MARCEDIT-L ACK NOREPRO"
command. Finally, you can turn off acknowledgements completely with the "SET MARCEDIT-L NOACK NOREPRO" command.
Note: Subscription settings and preferences can also be set using LISTSERV's Web Interface. For more information on using commands or on using the Web Interface to set your subscription settings, see the List Subscriber's Manual at http://www.lsoft.com/resources/manuals.asp.
Following instructions from the list owner, your subscription options have been set to "REVIEW" rather than the usual LISTSERV defaults. For more information about subscription options, send a "QUERY MARCEDIT-L"
command to [log in to unmask]
Contributions sent to this list are automatically archived. You can access the list archives at http://metis3.gmu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=MARCEDIT-L. You may need to log in or get a password for the Web interface to view the archives.
This list is available in digest form. If you wish to receive the digested version of the postings, then issue a "SET MARCEDIT-L DIGEST"
command.
More information on LISTSERV commands can be found in the LISTSERV reference card, which you can retrieve by sending an "INFO REFCARD"
command to [log in to unmask]
