The others follow various patterns, usually with no real distinct features I can use to edit. Films on Demand I can do that way, but there are other groupings of records I can't process that way. It would also help isolate the remaining groups of pure-numeric 035's by getting rid of the ones that exactly match the 001's.

Perhaps a more reliable plan would be to add qualifiers to the purely numeric 035s you want to keep, using whatever "if" statements ((or "extract" criteria) apply?
Then you could delete the remainder.
