Hello all,

I'm encountering an error using the Export Tab Delimited Records program that I'm hoping someone will recognize- I haven't found mention of it in any of the archived messages, but if it's already been answered, I apologize.

I'm trying to pull out a handful of fields from a mrc file of 6100 records into a spreadsheet, and this is the error message I'm getting:

If this error occurred while processing a MARC data file, try running the file through the MARCValidator for more information about structural record issues.

Exception Information:

Message: Index and length must refer to a location within the string.

Parameter name: length

Source: mscorlib

Stack Trace: at System.String.Substring(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length)
at mengine60.mengine60.D_Text(String sMARC, String[] args, String sDelimiter, String sSecDelimiter, Boolean bNormalize, String sThirdDelimiter)
at mengine60.mengine60.Delimited_Output(String& sSource, String& sDest, String& sArgs, Boolean bIsMARC, String[]& exOptions)
   at frmUtilities.cmdTExport_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

I ran the records through the Marc Validator first thing, and they all validated successfully.

Thank you for any help you might be able to give me- this has been driving me crazy for a few days now.

Kate
