This is great, thank you!

Now I've found one more problem. I have duplicate $a subfields in my 050's, like this:

=050 \4$aQP601$b.M49 vol. 8, etc.$aQP701

Also have no idea why there's an etc in there or an extra $a for that matter. I tried deleting them with the Edit Subfield > delete duplicate subfield function but no dice. Anything I can do to batch delete these guys out?

Subject: REGEX Help

Good morning all

Kindly assist us with REGEX. How do we insert $a[Place of publication not identified] and remove $a from the publisher and replace it with $b

1. 260 \\$aUniversiteit van Stellenbosch,$c1964.
$a[Place of publication not identified] :$bUniversiteit van Stellenbosch,$c1964.

How do we insert the spaces before $b and $c. This should not affect other records that already have spaces before $ signs.

2. 300 \\$avii, 356 p.:$bill.;$c25 cm.

To Terry:

3. 13 Digit ISBNs
We would like to generate 13 digits ISBN from 10 digits ISBN. When the 13 digit ISBN is present, a duplicate is generated from the 10 digit ISBN. Another 13 digit ISBN is generated from the 13 digit ISBN and it is not correct (i.e. a9780133766172 (pbk.) = 9789780133764).
Is there a way to include the qualification if it was present on the 10 digit ISBN?
Is it possible to remove the 10 digits ISBN once the 13 ones have been generated?

We would like to know if it is possible to create the Task for generating the 13 digit ISBN? When creating the task, we got stuck on Field Edits and there are no further options for ISBNs.

Before Generating:

Subject: inserting "eb" after call # but before volume #

Hello!
I'm trying to insert "eb" after the call # in 050 or 090 but before any volume designation. I can almost accomplish this with an Edit Field. For example, if I do a find of "vol" in the 050 or 090 and replace it with "eb vol" I get a space before the eb.
Like so: =050 DT340.B34 2019 eb vol. 19
but I'm trying to get =050 DT340.B34 2019eb vol. 19

Is there a way I can accomplish this without the space? I'm thinking a regular expression but have little to no experience writing them. Thank you!

What happens if were to do a find of " vol" (vol with a space before it), then keep your replace with the same?

Find “ vol” instead (i.e. include the space before vol).

Hello,

This is what I do. I haven't had much time to dedicate to cataloging for a while so this may be a bit dated, but hopefully it will be useful:

Select Tools, then Edit Subfield Data

Enter information into the tool as follows:

Field: 090

Subfield: b

Field Data: ([^e][^b])$

Replace with: $1eb

Options: Use regular expression

Click Replace Text
