I’m pretty new to MarcEdit and very well may have missed something obvious.
If I export a set of records from Connexion and open it in MarcEditor, it is in raw MARC format, not a format the program can work with. If I open it in RDA Helper, it is in mnemonic format. Then I can save it in that format and use other program features with it. I'm doing a project that involves a lot of batches, and I'd like to be able to open the file in MarcEditor, run a task that includes RDA Helper, compile into MARC, and import into Connexion. I've managed to put almost all the steps I want to do within MarcEdit into a task, except that to get to that task, I need to be in MarcEditor but the file needs to be in mnemonic format. To get it there, I need to open it in RDA Helper. But RDA Helper is available as something that can be added to a task.
How can I get a file into mnemonic format but in MarcEditor, so that I can run my task? The fewest possible steps, please.
