Hi all,
I have a file of MARC records for DRAM (Database of Recorded American Music)
that has many more instances of "violoncello" in 650 fields than I want to
edit by hand. I've ascertained that these fields are most probably correct
but because they don't have corresponding authority records, I won't be able
to easily clean them up after I load them.
This seems like a job for regular expressions but I'm not quite sure how to
do it.
Here are some examples:
650 \0$aQuartets (Piano, saxophone, violoncello, double bass)
should become:
650 \0$aQuartets (Piano, saxophone, cello, double bass)
650 \0$aChaconnes (Piano, clarinet, flute, violin, violoncello)
should become:
650 \0$aChaconnes (Piano, clarinet, flute, violin, cello)
650 \0$aClarinet, flute, viola, violoncello with chamber orchestra
should become:
650 \0$aClarinet, flute, viola, cello with chamber orchestra
650 \0$aPianos (2), violins (2), viola, violoncello with string orchestra.
should become:
650 \0$aPianos (2), violins (2), viola, cello with string orchestra.
Suggestions welcome!
Thanks in advance,
Sandy
