Dear MARCEDIT-L list subscribers,
Chris Fox writes, "I'm guessing that the email to send commands to the list (nomail, etc.) will change too." That is indeed the case. Chris's message has prompted me to alert our Listserv manager to the need to update information that is automatically sent to new subscribers. Thank you, Chris!
Mason's local LISTSERV program has a tendency to change the "LISTSERV" portion of the domain to "METIS3", a local server. That is why you might have addresses with METIS3 stored away somewhere. After a while, those addresses won't work any more.
Subscibers please insure that you don't have any stored addresses with metis3 in them (even though you might get things sent to you that have it) and you should be OK. And thanks to Terry for his kind words of support for the MARCEDIT-L list. We now have approximately 1,500 subscriptions, up from around 40 when the list began in 2009.
