So, this is really hard for me to say. I'm not a mac person, but to tool passes parameters that in most cases, should allow you to select any file type. There are very few cases where that isn't true (and I specify specific file types for processing). I'll take a look and see if this is one of those cases.

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Mac OSX version file chooser not working as expected
I’m using the latest OSX version of Marcedit, but experiencing problems with selecting txt/csv files in most functions; e.g. when I try to choose an input file containing ISBNs in the Z39.50 function, all files in the folder are “greyed out”, but if I type the path & file name into the chooser box and run the function it works. Strangely, sometimes it seems to work properly! Any ideas?
