We use only LCSH headings for our general material, so when we get records that include the LC Children’s Subject Headings, those headings are flipped to LCSH and non-matches theoretically cleaned up. I’m currently using external find and replace files to do the $v transforms. Changing $vFiction to $vJuvenile fiction is easy, but what I’d like to do is change any CSH headings for non-fiction to [LCSH term or string]$vJuvenile literature. In essence,
find any :
6XX .1$a… that lacks $vFiction, $vDrama, $vSound recordings, etc.
and append:
$vJuvenile literature.
Could this even be done in the context of regex with external files?
Thanks
Geoffrey
