Something is going wrong with MarcEdit. I've been running this process
for years where I create these little MARC records like this:
=LDR 01111nam 2200313 4500
=907 \\$a.b6092066x
=933 \\$aMarcive found multi matches on:"100 1 $aAdams, Levi."
I compile them with MarcEdit and load them in my ILS. It's always worked
fine until this month.
Now the compiling is not working. The complied records all seem to have
the wrong record length. Validate record structure gives this error:
Record Number: 1
Error: Record length doesn't match reported record length.
Record Length: 132
Reported Length: 00129
Record Text:
001291nama 0005213 Â 4500907001600000933006000016 \a.b6092066x
\aMarcive found multi matches on:"100 1 aAdams, Levi."
----------------------------------------
They are all off by 3 characters.
What is that A with the circumflex? Is that normal? All these mrc
records have that.
Any idea what's going on?
