Hi Terry,
Thanks for working this out. I would be happy to test it, but will be away
at a conference tomorrow through Friday. Hopefully, someone else will step
up to try it sooner.

Ok -- I've spent some time today and I've got a solution. Kelly, if you'd
like to give this a little early, let me know. In fact, any other 64-bit
user that wants to give it a go, I'd be happy to oblige sometime tomorrow.
I should note -- this is a significant change to the program. There isn't
much in terms of functionality (though, I've added a few
requests) -- but does fix the editor when it runs across files with
inconsistent new line characters.
More importantly -- this version will run natively on your specific system
architecture. Previously, MarcEdit ran as a 32-bit application on all
systems. This meant that on 64-bit systems, it ran through an emulator.
This changes. Between now and next week (when this work will be official)
-- I'm going to be putting the program through my unit testing suite because
the code changes are pretty significant.
I'm also changing the minimum requirements on the .net framework from
2 to 3. The program will prompt you on install if you need to update your
framework version. Otherwise, you can quickly tell what version of the
MS.NET framework you have installed by looking at:
c:\windows\microsoft.net\Framework and look for a version number that is 3
or higher.
