I'm attempting to create multiple copies of some generic records with numerous items attached -- typically 2-3 of which are matching items (as output in a 949 tag). I've added a subfield with an identifier unique to the matching items ($x in the snippet below), so that the same identifier will be present in each of the 949s for the matching group. But I'm stumped about how I might be able to group the 949s and thereby create my record copies each with single 949 group. The main merged info would be the barcode ($b); the call # ($d) also would be nice, but not critical
