I can rebreak it with MarcBreaker, but it triggers an error and the
Leader is split into two lines when I look at the re-broken file in
MarcEdit.
I think Bryan Baldus was correct in suggesting that extra characters in
the Leader are the culprit.

It compiled for me too but then nothing will open it as a MARC file-
other MARC editors or MARCedit.

MarcMaker converts your file into Marc without any errors for me, so I
think the file is good.
Have you tried reinstalling MarcEdit? Maybe that error message means it
can't find a component of the program itself.

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Record won't compile into MARC
Hi,
When I try to compile the attached record into MARC, I get the message:
Could not load file or assembly...
The record validates okay.
Without spending more that a few seconds, can anyone (Terry?) tell me
what is wrong with the record? It is probably obvious but I've gone
cross-eyed trying to find the problem.
