Thanks for the feedback.  To provide a little more information, this would be for 
updates to thesis/dissertation records delivered by ProQuest from the ETDs our 
students submit.

I believe that local formatting guidelines pretty strictly control how the author's 
name appears on the title page of the thesis/dissertation, that each 
thesis/dissertation is authored by one person, etc.  Our catalogers are going to 
review each record, but, thought it would be a good start to have the 
information pre-entered and -- hopefully -- mostly correctly in the 245$c.
