Hi Terry,

Thanks for asking!
I recently had to prepare a demonstration of subject fields, 650, 655,
700 for a (non-cataloging) client and the MARC to delimited format was a
bit cumbersome. In the end, I added additional delimiters (available in
excel) to get the results I wanted, however the columns/headers did not
match up I had to create separate spreadsheets and then combine. The
fields which are not repeatable came out great but the repeatable fields
were messy. I don't think that 0-999 fields and subfields listed in
columns is terrible, not if you know your fields well enough. I spoke
with a database professional who suggested that the first record have as
many possible columns as might appear in the rest of the records set.
His assumption was that if a subsequent record had less 650s than an
empty cell would be created. Instead MarcEdit fills every cell
regardless of the indicated header.

I hope that has helped. Sorry I do not have any other program suggestions.
As I have said in the past, "I am great at cutting and pasting!"

PS. Can you help me with the scripting to integrate a list of URLs with
the MARC records?

Thanks!!!!!
Amy
