Hi,

I'm trying to do a find/replace using regular expressions in 5.1. I've
never done this before.

The text I'm searching occurs over 2 lines. See below, with what it is
and what I want.
-----------what it is------------
=097 \\$amarker
=099 \\$a
-----------what i want-----------
=097 \\$a
---------------------------------

I'm searching with the regular expression '\$amarker\r\n=099 \\\\' and
it finds the text perfectly. However, no matter what I put in the
"replace with" box, when I try replace all, it says "zero modifications
were made.

I'm doing this because we have records with MANY 099 fields in one
record and I want to get only the first one in each record so I can
modify only that first 099.

I would appreciate any help.
Tim
