There shouldn’t be any reason why changes wouldn’t be saved. Of course, you need to remember that after you’ve saved your final copy, you recompile your edited data back to MARC.

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Changes not saved

 Hello to All:
I am a new user of MarcEdit. I edited six large batches from OverDrive and brought them over to our online catalog without any problem. With the seventh batch the problems started. All of a sudden, I couldn’t be sure what changes would be saved. Even though my changes were shown on the records, several times I imported the records to SIRSI and found that only some of the changes were saved. In all instances, I saved the edited batches to my H drive and I also said yes when asked if I wanted to save the changes. I couldn’t find anything on the MarcEdit information about this. Does anybody have any idea as to what is causing this problem?
