Sorry I forgot to mention the Apabi 245 fields contains Chinese characters, when I tried, there is no change. In your blog, "*245 a-n" means only roman characters match? Does that also include ASCII characters?

That is what the new merge option is for. It matches using multiple match points. There is a post in the archive and on my blog that discusses the match points used.
