Agree with you about the noise issue, Terry. Too bad nesting is not an option.

So perhaps the 3rd party macro program would be the way to go. I
thought VB could be used for basic stuff like this? Aren't some
rudimentary viruses written in VB -- programs that manipulate files,
etc?
