Terry and Ophelia,
Thanks! I'm glad to know that it really wasn't supposed to work as
opposed to me doing something wrong ('cause it wouldn't be the first time).
Fortunately this time the problem resolved itself. The vendor sent a
second file in Marc8. Apparently they have MARC records in various
character sets.
And Ophelia, I always forget about Gary Strawn's tools since I can't use
his Cataloger's Toolkit (something about our Voyager configuration
here). Thanks for the reminder!
