Hi! I'm new to MarcEdit and have the same problem described here. Since it has 
been about 2 1/2 years since this problem was posted, I want to know if the 
answer is still the same: the exported records need to go to the desktop and not 
to a file location in Windows before loading into MarcEdit? 

Seems like a rather odd problem, especially for someone who is exporting a large 
number of records (!)
