Stacy,

what I do is extract records, see if that works the way I expected, then 
go back and rerun the same operation as it were, but this time under 
"delete MARC records" function. That way I get one file of selected 
records and also the file of unselected records. And by choosing your 
names for files carefully, you can also still keep the original source 
file too.
