The American University History Department would like to invite you to a special event that may be of interest to you and your students!

On Wednesday, April 12th, we will have our annual Braithwaite Lecture, featuring the renowned Sean Wilentz. The event will begin with a reception at 5:30 pm followed by Sean Wilentz' talk on "Antislavery and the American Revolution" at 6:00 pm. The event will take place on the main AU campus, Constitution Hall, 3501 Nebraska Ave NW. See flyer attached for more details.

Directions to campus below:



By Metro

Campus is easily accessible from the AU/Tenleytown metro stop, on the red line. As you exit the metro, look for signs for the free American University shuttle to the main campus.

By Train

Trains arrive at Union Station located at 50 Massachusetts Avenue and First Street, NE. You may take a taxi to campus; or at Union Station take the Metro's red line to the AU/Tenleytown metro stop, and then follow the By Metro directions.

By Car

Main campus is easily accessible by car. See campus map for parking directions at Katzen Center Garage.

Parking

Visitors are welcome to park in the Katzen Center Garage. Parking is available at an hourly rate. Visit the "Pay as You Go" pay stations located at the pedestrian exits. Parking permits are enforced on campus and in the Nebraska Avenue Lot from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
