Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA) position available starting in Spring 2017

(Time period is negotiable (1 semester or 1 year); 20 hours/week (stipend and tuition coverage)

I am seeking a motivated and talented PhD student (or a Master's student if the fit is great) with interests in the broad areas of Science & Technology Studies (STS) and/or Engineering Studies. The core research area of the project is the history of engineering and technology in India starting with the colonial era and till the present. The focus is on large development related projects.

The primary responsibility of the position is to conduct literature review and assist with analysis of qualitative data. Literature review will require experience with online databases but also library search and in some cases analysis of archival materials.

Candidates should have earned a Master's Degree (preferably) in public policy, sociology, anthropology, history, or related fields. Good knowledge of how to conduct and write literature review is expected. In addition, some experience with publishing is of advantage. Exceptional communication and writing skills are expected.
