The attachments advertise the World War II History Weekend at Rippon Lodge, Woodbridge, Virginia, from 12-13 September 2015. The event hosts lots of re-enactors with WWII gear and equipment and an 18th Century lodge decorated to reflect the WWII home front. In addition, five authors of WWII-related books will be on hand to sign copies of their books and provide book talks (I'm one of them!). Most notably, Joseph Balkoski, the nation's pre-eminent D-Day historian and author of over a half dozen books on the subject, will be in attendance. He rarely does personal appearances.
