I wanted to give you all a heads up about this mini-conference in at the Smithsonian for PhD students who are thinking more broadly about employment outside of Academia. I've been told registration is $25, and they will feed us. If anyone is interested in carpooling, let me know.

“Connecting Your Past and Future: Charting a Career in History”

  * How can you find a career which draws on your skills and interests? Join us on Friday, October 30, 2015 for an all-day workshop focusing on practical advice which will help you to find a satisfying career in or outside the academy.

  *   When: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
