Please come to as many of these events as you are able – they are an important part of the intellectual life of the Department, are a chance to become familiar with the genre of the job talk (particularly helpful for those interested in academic careers), and will provide you with a chance to make your own assessment of the candidates (the search committee will solicit feedback from graduate students prior to making its decision about who to hire).
