Dear medieval and early modern friends,

It's almost time to get to know nature!

The Graduate School Field Committee in Medieval & Early Modern Studies at the University of Maryland is pleased to host a two-day interdisciplinary conference on "Knowing Nature in the Medieval and Early Modern Worlds" to take place on Friday October 24th and Saturday October 25th in College Park. The poster, featuring our conference mascots, is attached.

Invited speakers include:

Drew Daniel (Johns Hopkins University, English)
