“National History Day makes history come alive for America's youth by
engaging them in the discovery of the historic, cultural and social
experiences of the past. Through hands-on experiences and presentations,
today's youth are better able to inform the present and shape the
future. NHD inspires children through exciting competitions and
transforms teaching through project-based curriculum and instruction.”

Dear Judge Alumni of Virginia History Day District 5,

We would love to have you participate in 2013 for the District 5

you are qualified to serve as a judge.

Benefits of Judging: There is the reward of knowing that you have
fostered the love of history among middle and high schoolers in northern
Virginia. You also will receive a complimentary breakfast and lunch!

Please join us again as a judge at the District 5 competition. It will
be one of your personal highlights of early 2013! In the meantime, our
best wishes for a productive and peaceful year,
