The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) and the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) are hoping to attract members who are college age or graduate school.  Both organizations have existed since the 19th C and promote history and heritage.  Regular membership in the SUVCW and the SCV is open to males who have ancestors/relatives who fought in the Civil War/War Between the States; associate membership is open to those without an ancestor who served in the military 1861-65.
