> Our next Larry Levine Faculty Seminar will be held at 3pm on Friday, April 1, Enterprise 174.
>
> Professor Joyce Malcolm of the law school will offer a talk entitled, "The Court Martial of Benedict Arnold: A Closer Look."
>
> It is the first chapter in a biography of Benedict Arnold she is presently researching and writing. The bio begins with his court martial, which I believe is the pivotal event that convinced him to abandon the Patriot cause. After this chapter the book, as presently planned, will "flash back" to his childhood, wartime experiences and work up to the court martial then go on to his treason, military exploits commanding British troops and sad later life. The biography is now under contract at Harvard University Press.
