Subject: WVU HGSA Conference 2020

Dear History Colleagues,

The History Graduate Student Association at West Virginia University invites graduate students to participate in the annual WVU HGSA Conference. The conference will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020, on-campus in Morgantown, West Virginia. Included in the one-day conference will be a keynote address and lunch.

We welcome any presentation submissions, in various fields, geographies, or periods, that address the broad themes of circulation (goods, ideas, products), conflict (war, violence, or their effects on society), and cooperation (alliance making, diplomacy, acculturation). In order to apply, submit a 250-word abstract and a CV by March 1, 2020. Abstracts can be emailed to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Also, attached to this email is a flyer with pertinent information for the conference.

Our department enjoys concentrations in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century America, labor and Appalachia, Africa, medieval and modern Europe, and Public History.
