Please see below for a teaching opportunity this fall at Mary Washington. Seems better than the usual adjunct gig. Respond directly to Prof. Bruce O’Brien as soon as possible.
Best,

Dear Prof. Kierner,
I am the chair of History at UMW. I am searching for someone to teach during the Fall 2016 semester a double section of Western Civ II as well as, if she or he wants, an upper level History course, preferably on a non-American topic. The double section counts as two courses and so pays double our usual rate. It has at most 70 students, while the upper level course has no more than 25.
The time and days are fixed for the Western Civ course—the faculty member set to teach it received a grant and took research leave after the course had substantially enrolled. It is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm.
I am trying to get someone in place as quickly as possible, since incoming students will be registering during the second half of June.
If you could direct this to any interested graduate students or potential lecturers, I would be most grateful. Tell them to get in touch with me at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> If they get the vacation reply, they should not worry—I will be in touch with them rather quickly!
With best wishes,
Bruce
