We would greatly appreciate each of you sending a follow-up reminder to your graduate students heading into the Winter break and Spring semester! For manuscript submissions, we are particularly interested in articles detailing massive resistance, grassroots politics, protest, and contests over memory (local, state, regional) throughout the American South from the antebellum era to present day. The deadline for article manuscript submissions for our 2021 issue has been extended to January 31, 2021; early submissions are, however, strongly encouraged. We are also seeking book reviewers as well as submissions in a number of other categories, including historiographical essays, public site reviews, and individual commentary pieces related to relevant topics.
