1) Program Coordinator for “Arlington Fellows” program. Part-time job opportunity spilt between Fairfax and Arlington campuses. Duties and Responsibilities
* Coordinate the Global Politics Fellows program, including recruitment, marketing and outreach
* Cohort selection and admissions process
* Support of GLOA 495/GOVT 496 student internship courses, fall and spring terms
* Semester event planning, including speaker series, group activities and site visits, luncheon events and reception
* Program evaluation
* Handle inquiries, questions and concerns from interested students, applicants, participants and alumni
* Liaise with program faculty and other fellows program coordinators during the academic term (currently includes Peacebuilding Fellows & Nonprofit Fellows)
* Website updates (training provided)
This is a part-time, wage position for 15 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:
• Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including a collaborative and team‐oriented work style;

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree (or pursuit of) in social sciences or humanities, higher education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is strongly preferred;

The Global Affairs Program in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at George Mason University seeks to hire an organized, energetic, self-motivated individual to work approximately 10-15 hours per week as an undergraduate academic advisor. * Maintaining advising materials;
* Participating in orientation and recruitment activities;
* Referring students with academic progress issues or special requests to appropriate offices;
* Performing graduation audits;
* Collaborating with the Global Affairs faculty and staff on program activities and events.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
* Demonstrated interest in academic advising at the university level; and
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Significant demonstrated academic advising experience at university level;
* Knowledge of NavigateMason (formerly GMU SSC Campus), Degree Works, and/or Banner; and
* General knowledge of the principles, practices, and trends in the areas of academic advising, student persistence, retention, and degree completion.
