Dear FAST TRAINers,
As a new school year begins, many of you are currently teaching in the
classroom. If you will be teaching full time for the entire 2011-2012
year in the area you wish to be licensed (ESOL), you may use this as
your clinical experience towards obtaining your Virginia State Teaching
License.
In order to receive credit for this full time teaching experience,
candidates must register with FAST TRAIN by submitting the "Internship
Placement Confirmation" form (pg 4). The form needs to be submitted to
Mary Hawkins ([log in to unmask]) by September 30, 2011. Starting with
this academic year (2011-2012), you must also document your full time
teaching experience in order for it to count toward your license.
Once your site has been confirmed, we will be in contact with you
regarding proper documentation of your yearlong clinical experience.
Best Regards,
Mary Hawkins
