The aim and scope of the book are described below.

Aim and Scope of the book:

Machining processes play an important role in producing handy and
efficient products which are beneficial to human society in their
day-to-day routine. The precision machining tool is the one that gives
the required shape to the products and makes it reliable and efficient
to use. Several traditional and non-traditional machining processes
are used for manufacturing the products; however, they are having
unique characteristics and different requirements such as lubrication,
suitable environment, specific heating and cooling treatments, etc.
Different parameters such as feed rate, depth of cut, number of
passes, lubrication, etc. need to be considered and optimized in order
to get the quality machined products within a desirable time with good
aesthetic and must be at a reasonable cost. These real-world
applications are more complex to execute using traditional
optimization techniques. The Artificial Intelligence based
nature-inspired optimization techniques would be more superior to
solve such problems. This book proposal intends to contribute
heuristics and metaheuristics optimization techniques and its
applications associated to the machining processes.

EvoStar comprises four co-located conferences run each spring at
different locations throughout Europe. These events arose out of
workshops originally developed by EvoNet, the Network of Excellence in
Evolutionary Computing, established by the Information Societies
Technology Programme of the European Commission, and they represent a
continuity of research collaboration stretching back over 20 years.

EvoStar is organised by SPECIES, the Society for the Promotion of
Evolutionary Computation in Europe and its Surroundings. This
non-profit academic society is committed to promoting evolutionary
algorithmic thinking, with the inspiration of parallel algorithms
derived from natural processes. It provides a forum for information
and exchange.

The four conferences include:

- EuroGP 26th European Conference on Genetic Programming

- EvoApplications 26th European Conference on the Applications of
Evolutionary and bio-inspired Computation

- EvoCOP 23rd European Conference on Evolutionary Computation in

Tutorials at GECCO 2023 will provide an excellent opportunity to learn
about current theory and practice in evolutionary computation from
domain experts. We are now inviting proposals for tutorials. Each
tutorial is expected to be 110 minutes long. We encourage the
inclusion of interactive activities and demos.

Tutorials will be free to all GECCO 2023 attendees. We strongly
encourage tutorials in hybrid mode rather than online only.

Accepted tutorials' slide sets will be published as part of a
Companion volume to the conference proceedings in the ACM Digital
One instructor/presenter of each accepted tutorial will get a
discounted registration. The discount can be divided among tutorial
instructors if there is more than one. Each presenter is eligible for
only a single tutorial discount, i.e., it is not possible to aggregate
discounts from more tutorials. If a tutorial instructor is also
presenting papers/workshop papers/posters, this discount is halved
(i.e., 50% shared between speakers).

Computational Creativity (or CC) is a discipline with its roots in
Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Engineering, Design,
Psychology and Philosophy that explores the potential for computers to
be autonomous creators in their own right. ICCC is an annual
conference that welcomes papers on different aspects of CC, on systems
that exhibit varying degrees of creative autonomy, on systems that act
as creative partners for humans, on frameworks that offer greater
clarity or computational felicity for thinking about machine (and
human) creativity, on methodologies for building or evaluating CC
systems, on approaches to teaching CC in schools and universities or
to promoting societal uptake of CC as a field and as a technology, and
so on.
