Do you know what is a Social Innovation? Do you want to learn about Entrepreneurship? Why not do so by taking part in a unique global course?

MSOM 305 003 CRN 18266: Managing in a Global Economy is a shared course with Universidad de Monterrey at the Pachuca Campus, in Mexico. The course is delivered through on-line synchronous joint lectures and student meetings that take advantage of virtual technology.

The Best Part of This Course? A global residency during the Spring Break in 2015 where course participants work on a social incubator project with their Mexican colleagues. The visit consists of meetings with corporations, speakers, and cultural activities.

Priority will be given to students enrolled in the School of Business but the course is open to all students across the university.

The Dean of the George Mason School of Business is offering grants for School of Business students to cover the cost of travel to Mexico. Students who receive a grant will be responsible for a $250 non-refundable deposit to secure their place in the program. Students who do not secure a grant or who are not enrolled in the George Mason School of Business are responsible for the full costs of the Mexico travel ($1,849). Registration preference will be given to students in the School of Business. Participants are responsible for the tuition portion of the course as part of their spring semester course load.

The class is scheduled to meet regularly on Friday at 10:30 AM to 1:10 PM and includes global residency during the Spring Break
