Dear BIS Students,
Attached please find flyers for the coming EDIT 201 course available in Spring 2014. A BIS student who recently took this course recommended it for students who have never attended a course in an online format. If you are interested in the course but are unsure about how it will fit into your schedule, please contact one of the BIS advisors or give me a call to schedule an appointment.

The course description follows below:

EDIT 201 Strategies for Online Learning Success - Spring 2014
Interested in taking an online class, but not sure what to expect-then EDIT 201 is right for you! This 1 credit course is offered in a modular, online format and designed to provide students with the skills they need to succeed in the online environment. Offered through the Learning Technologies Division, the course is self-paced, enabling students to proceed at their own speed. Students may start or stop any of the modules but must complete the course by the end of the semester in which they are registered. The course includes a combination of multimedia presentations, interactive exercises, electronic resources, videos and a final skills assessment to assess mastery. Students will also be provided with technical and content support. Register via PatriotWeb<https://patriotweb.gmu.edu/>, CRN 14847

Best wishes,
Lenore
