Subject: BIS Information Week Events
Announcing the First Annual BIS Information Week!
Dear BIS Students:
The BIS Info Week events were created to support BIS students and faculty mentors at any stage of the program.
You are invited to ask questions!
Don't forget, Spring 2014 registration begins November 6th!
For students considering "BIS 390- The Research Process" we are offering two open forum question-and-answer sessions:
October 15th 3-4 PM, Johnson Center - Gold Room (Ground Level) (event<http://bis.gmu.edu/events/1793>)
October 16th 6-7 PM, Aquia Building - Room 222 (event<http://bis.gmu.edu/events/3708>)
BIS Faculty Mentors, new and returning, are invited to attend an informational brown bag lunch session on October 16th 12-1 PM hosted by a panel of BIS advisors, faculty members and the program director. (event<http://bis.gmu.edu/events/1663>) All current faculty mentors will be invited personally, but please pass the invitation on to any faculty you are working with to become a new mentor in the program.
The BIS Advisors will hold open advising sessions for walk-in appointments from 1-5 PM, Monday through Friday (October 14-18th). All are welcome!
If you can't make it to the office, please let me know and I will schedule a telephone appointment for you.
Kenneth Thompson, BIS Director, will hold open office hours for walk-in visitors 1-5 PM on Friday, October 18th.
If you were unable to make it to the BIS Welcome Week reception, this is an ideal opportunity to connect with the BIS advising team!
We all look forward to seeing you for BIS Information Week!
Best wishes,
Lenore
