Subject: Graduate Student Travel Fund UPDATE

Good morning,

We are implementing new funding and procedure guidelines for the Graduate Student Travel Fund/International Travel Grant. The new updates will be effective July 16 (September 15 application session). Please disseminate this information to all graduate faculty and students.

*****************************************************************
Graduate Student Travel Fund (GSTF) - International Travel Grant (ITG)

Beginning July 16, 2015 (September 15 application session), the following new funding and procedure guidelines for the Graduate Student Travel Fund/International Travel Grant will be implemented:

1. International Travel Grant (ITG): Available for students who are first authors.

* Due to limited funding, the ITG will now provide up to $1000 in travel support for students presenting results of original research at international conferences.

* Beginning the week of July 27, the ITG applications will be accepted by the GSTF application portal. Students, advisors and department chairs will no longer submit applications/letters of recommendations via email. The GSTF portal update is scheduled for the week of July 27. Students should wait until the update to begin submitting applications for the ITG.

2. Graduate Student Travel Fund (GSTF): Available for students who are NOT first authors traveling domestically or internationally.

* Poster presentations will now receive up to $400 for GAPSA members, $350 for non-members.

* Oral presentations will now receive up to $500 for GAPSA members, $450 for non-members.

Please direct any questions regarding these updates to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

Thank you,
GSTF
