Subject: COS and Mason Scholarship Deadline 4/30/19

A message from Dean Agouris.

Dear Colleagues,

The College of Science has several student scholarship opportunities available each year, established by the generosity of our alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the College. Nearly $50,000 in scholarships were awarded from these funds last year to our students in all majors. However, only about 300 students from the College of Science applied for these opportunities.
With the April 30th deadline to apply for scholarships rapidly approaching, I wanted to request your help in encouraging our students to apply. A list of the College of Science Scholarships available to COS students and the process to apply is now available on our website at<>. Or, visit, select Student Life, then select Scholarships.
Scholarships at Mason are open to all continuing undergraduates, admitted transfers, and graduate students.

Steps for students to apply:

  1. Apply for Mason and College of Science Scholarships at:<>
  2. Complete an online profile and general Mason scholarship application. This includes one 500 word general essay with the prompt, "What impact would this scholarship have on your education?"
  3. Upon submission of your general Mason Scholarship application, you will automatically be sorted into the COS scholarships that you are eligible for, based on your generated profile.
If you have any questions about the application process, or scholarships available, please contact Sr. Asst. Director of Development, Evan Del Duke, [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

Thank you,

Peggy Agouris
