Good Afternoon All,

Please be advised that Mr. Mika'il Petin has resigned as President of 
the Association of Black Faculty, Administrators, and staff (ABFAS) 
effective today, February 1st, 2010.  Also, the organizational community 
lunch and meet-n-greet previously scheduled for Wednesday (3rd) and 
Friday (5th) have been canceled.

M.P.  suggests we continue with the remaining scheduled 
meetings/meet-n-greets for the Spring semester, so to that end the 
communications committee will leave the remaining activities posted on 
the organization's website until further notice and ABFAS will continue 
to reserve the first Wednesday, noon to 1:15 PM meeting time in the 
Robeson Room.  However, if we are unable to maintain a quorum to conduct 
further meetings or other activities,  we will remove the bulk of our 
website content and notify the list that ABFAS will be suspending 
activities indefinitely, effective March 5th, 2010.  The organization's 
mailing list will remain active as a tool for distributing information 
to the list's subscribers and the community at-large.
