(2) Sonya Clark Exhibition and 2014 DuBois Lecture - "Black, White, and Thread All Over"
The artist, Sonya Clark, chair of Craft and Material Studies at VCU, will be on Mason's Fairfax campus to deliver the African and African American Studies program's 2014 W.E.B. DuBois Lecture on Tuesday February 4th at 1:30PM in the Fine Art Gallery located in the Art and Design Building.
An exhibition of her work entitled, "Black, White, and Thread All Over," will be on display in the Fine Art Gallery in the School of Art's Art and Design Building from January 21st through February 21st, 2014. Kariann Fuqua, Curator of University Collections, is the show's curator. This exhibition supported by African and African American Studies, The School of Art, Office of University Advancement and Alumni Relations, and University Life at George Mason University in celebration of Black History Month.

(4) Mason Hall Exhibit: "Africans in India"
The exhibition "Africans In India" examines the roughly 500 year history of
Africans in South Asia with special attention given to the
positions of authority they attained.
This show is up in the Mason Hall Atrium Gallery until February 4th, 2014. The
exhibit is sponsored by the Office of Global & International
Strategies, the India Advisory Committee, and African and African American
Studies.
