Hi there,

Due to increased enrollment, we were just staffed an additional full time special education teacher Cat A position and are currently looking to fill a Preschool Autism Class IA position. We would love to see if there are any GMU recent grads/provisional license candidates/current graduate school students interested in either role. Please see the posting below:

Our daughter, Mariana, was adopted by us in 2015 at the age of 12 from an orphanage in Colombia. Spanish is her first language but she does speak English reasonably well. She has a long history of trauma and has been diagnosed with complex ptsd. She spent a lot of time in treatment (she graduated HS at age 22) but has been doing much better in the last couple of years. Last August we had a terrible family tragedy when my wife, Mariana's adopted mom, passed away from cancer. This clearly affects her, she sees a therapist and is doing

Special Education Tutor needed for the 2024-2025 school year to help a verbal 7th grade autistic/ADHD boy with homework. Would be working with parents to overcome behavioral barriers, create routines, and review material missed at school. Edison High School is looking for a special education teacher to join our Adapted Curriculum team! Located near Kingstowne, Edison has a diverse student population and a commitment to ensuring our students are an active part of our entire school community. We have approximately 35 students in grades 9-12 and transition age range (18-22), an awesome team of 7 teachers and 6 IAs, and a very supportive admin team with strong knowledge of special education.
